Subscription Update Obituary

Robert M. Fitzgerald, 74, of Worcester died Tuesday, July 4th at home. His wife of 25 years, Sherry A. (White) Fitzgerald died in 2009. He leaves four sons, Scott Fitzgerald of Hyannis, Jason R. Fitzgerald of Burlington, VT and Michael Fitzgerald and his fiance, Laura of Boylston, and Sean P. Fitzgerald of Worcester; three brothers, Russell Fitzgerald of Worcester, John Fitzgerald and his wife, Tammy of Holden, and Thomas Fitzgerald and his wife, Stacy of Auburn; two grandchildren, Riley and Kaia Fitzgerald and close friends, Kevin and Judy Reando, Dennis and Julie Harney, and Sharron Tedesco.

He was born in Worcester the son of William F. and Elizabeth L. (Russell) Fitzgerald and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. Robert was a long-time employee of the United States Post Office, where he worked in the maintenance department at the East Central Street Branch.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13th at 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
