Subscription Update Obituary

Robert L. Menard Sr., 81, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022 after an illness.

Mr. Menard is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pauline L. (Roy) Menard; his four children, Diana T. Devereaux and her husband, Brian of Sterling, Robert L. Menard Jr. and his wife, Mary of Millbury, Christopher A. Menard and his wife, Robin of Fitchburg and Cindy M. Menard of Worcester; a brother, Emile Menard of Worcester; a sister, Lorraine Pardee of Leicester; 6 grandchildren, Scott Menard, Timothy Devereaux, Corey Menard and his fianceé. Kelsey Cote, Zachary Menard, Sean Menard and Andrew Devereaux; 2 great grandchildren, Eleanor Menard and Vincent Cote and many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Menard was born in Worcester, son of the late George H. and Neva M. (Cove) Menard and is also predeceased by 4 brothers and a sister.

He worked for over 25 years as a warehouse worker with the Astra Zeneca Company. Bob was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He could often be found doing his word searches or taking chances with scratch tickets, always looking for the big prize.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, April 28, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in Sacred Heart – St. Catherine of Sweden Church 600 Cambridge St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home before the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Long Term Care Center “Patient Activity Fund” 559 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01605.
