Subscription Update Obituary

     Marjorie D. (Higgins) Kotel, 96, passed away peacefully in Care One at Millbury on Thursday, Feb. 16th.

Marjorie’s husband, Walter B. Kotel passed away in 2008. She leaves her three children, Kathleen D. Kotel of Leicester, Steven W. Kotel and his wife, Donna of Fort Myers, FL and Devra J. Kotel of Rochdale; a daughter-in-law, Kristin Kotel of Worcester ; five grandchildren, Korey Krier and her husband, Joseph of Framingham, Brant Kotel and his wife, Melissa of Fort Myers, Jamie Bastille and her husband, Jason of Dover, NH, Erin Campbell and her husband, Ryan of South Dennis and Shane Kotel of South Dennis; twelve great grandchildren, Taylor, Justin, Hannah, Julia, Emily, Sarah, Dylan, Nola, Kaitlyn, Madison, Grayden and Nina; many nieces and nephews. Marjorie is predeceased by a son, James F. Kotel; her parents and siblings.

Marjorie enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, bowling many times a week and dancing with her husband for many years. She worked many years at the former W.T. Grants in Worcester and Joseph Levitt in Worcester. Marjorie was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan. The family would like to thank the staff of Care One at Millbury for all their concern and support.

Marjorie’s calling hours will be held on Monday, Feb. 20th from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Feb. 20th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street in Worcester. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Make-a-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, One Bulfinch Place 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114 or Dana-Faber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
