Leona I. (Croteau) Vincent, 92, of Worcester died Thursday, August 12th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus.

Her husband of 61 years, Norman J. Vincent died in 2006. She leaves two sons, Norman D. Vincent and his wife Lina Vincent of Thompson, CT, Michael E. Vincent and his lifelong partner Margaret Galligan of Worcester, MA; two daughters; Maryann Ghalashahi and her husband Hossein Ghalashahi of Hudson, NH and Nancy E. Vincent of Cherry Valley, MA; seven grandchildren, Andrew Ghalashahi, Aaron Vincent and his wife Maria Vincent, Shahla Spencer and her husband Jay Spencer, Brandon Vincent and his wife Joyce Vincent, Norman Vincent and his wife Melissa Jones, Jonathan Roberge and Victoria Vincent; eight great grandchildren, Alexander Ghalashahi, Angelique Vincent, Aaron Vincent, Cyrus Spencer, Miles Spencer, Jonah Vincent, Kasey Jones and Althea Vincent. She was predeceased by a daughter Elizabeth J. Roberge in 2007 and her sister, Eileen Belliveau in 2014.

She was born in Worcester, MA the daughter of Marshall and Lena (Croteau) Sperry. Leona was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, of which she loved very much. Leona was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She worked for many years at State Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1990. Leona was a resident of Oakdale Nursing Home, in West Boylston, MA for the last 4 years of which she received loving and incredible care. Our family is grateful to the staff.

Leona’s funeral services will be private for immediate family in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
