Subscription Update Obituary

Norman J. Vincent, 82, of 1357 Main Street, died Wednesday, November 8th, in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Leona I. (Sperry) Vincent; 2 sons, Norman D. Vincent of North Oxford and Michael E. Vincent of Worcester; 3 daughters, Elizabeth J. Roberge and her husband Jean of Charlton, Maryann Ghalashahi and her husband Hossein of Hudson, NH, and Nancy E. Vincent of Worcester; 7 grandchildren; a great granddaughter and nephews and nieces. A brother, Harvey Vincent predeceased him.

He was born in Manchester, NH, the son of Eugene and Mary (Roy) Vincent and was educated at Commerce High School. Mr. Vincent was a truck driver with the Teamsters Local 170 for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, having joined just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. While in the Navy, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area, Asiatic-Pacific Area and Philippine Liberation Ribbons.

Funeral services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
