Subscription Update Obituary

Kenneth W. Stidsen, 95, died on Thursday, November 30 in his home after an illness.
His wife of 65 years, Shirley A. (Berggren) Stidsen died in 2011.  He leaves two sons: Brian E. Stidsen and his wife Paula of Rutland and Kenneth W. Stidsen, Jr. and his wife Claire of Sterling, a daughter-in-law Diane Stidsen of Shrewsbury, a sister Marie Robert of Worcester. 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and longtime friends David and Susan Niddrie. He was predeceased by a son Gregory Stidsen, a great grandson Luke Leatham, two brothers George & Earl Stidsen and two sisters Elaine Stidsen and Shirley Goodhue.

Kenneth was born in Worcester, son of George and Marie (Duff) Stidsen.  He owned and operated KW Stidsen Heating for many years before retiring.  He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed antiquing, doing yard work and trips to Bermuda with Shirley.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He would always be available to anyone in need of oil burner repairs long after he retired.

A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, December 5 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Callahan, Fay, Caswell & Lindquist Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
