Subscription Update Obituary

     Kenneth R. Baker, 81, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He was raised in Worcester, MA, the son of Josephine M. (Caforio) and Theodore Desrosier and graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade School in 1955.

Kenneth was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Martha V. (DiBenedetto) Baker, in 2014. He is survived by his sons, Joseph M. Baker and his wife, MaryAnn of Holden, MA and John V. Baker and his wife, Terriann of Charlton, MA; his brother, Donald Baker of San Antonio, TX; and his beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Michael and Casey Baker.

After graduating High School, Kenneth proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War Era. He married the love of his life, the late Martha V. (DiBenedetto) in 1960 and the couple settled in Worcester, MA. Kenneth worked as a steel worker, retiring from Crucible Steel in the early 1980s. He was a Co-Founder and Vice-President of the Worcester Vikings Pop Warner football league and enjoyed involvement in the program for many years. Kenneth was also an avid golfer and loved playing horseshoes with his friends. He will be dearly missed.

A Funeral service will be held privately. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, MA.
