Subscription Update Obituary

     Martha V. (DiBenedetto) Baker, 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Sterling Village after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Nicholas and Grace (DiPilato) DiBenedetto and graduated from Shrewsbury High School.

     She leaves her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth R. Baker; two sons, Joseph M. Baker and his wife, MaryAnn of Holden and John V. Baker and his wife, Terriann of Charlton; two brothers, Vincent and Domenic DiBenedetto; three grandchildren, Nichole, Casey and Michael; and nephews and nieces.

     Martha was a cafeteria attendant for 20 years at Paul Revere Insurance Company retiring in 1997. Previously, she worked in the cafeteria for the Worcester School Department and was a bookkeeper at Thom McAn. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and loved to spend quality time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed.

     Funeral services for Martha will be held on Friday, May 23, with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
