Subscription Update Obituary

      Jeannette I. (Ledoux) Desautels, 92, of Worcester passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Worcester Health Center, 25 Oriol Drive. She is survived by her devoted husband of seventy years, Armand W. Desautels. She also leaves her children; daughter, Jeanne Boyer and her husband Roger of Worcester; sons, Ronald Desautels and his wife Jan of Santa Monica, CA, Richard Desautels and his wife Valerie of Uxbridge, Gary Desautels and his wife Christine of Worcester, Terry Desautels and his wife Stacie of Salisbury MD; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother Roland Ledoux of Boylston ; sisters, Rolande Ledoux and Yvette Prosser, both of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Gerald Desautels; brothers Paul and Arthur Ledoux; sisters Rita Cormier, Cecile Mc Entee, and Claire Lauring. She was born in Worcester a daughter of George and Juliette (Bourassa) Ledoux.

Mrs. Desautels was a homemaker. She graduated from Worcester Girl’s Trade School. Jeannette enjoyed crocheting and knitting as well as cross-stich and embroidery. Raising her family and watching it grow was her pleasure in life. She and Armand traveled in their camper and spent many years wintering in Florida. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. The funeral Mass will take place on Thursday February 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. The burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
