Subscription Update Obituary

Armand W. Desautels, 97, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. His wife of 70 years, Jeannette I. (Ledoux) Desautels, passed away in 2018.

Armand is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Boyer and her husband Roger of Worcester; sons, Ronald Desautels and his wife Jan of Santa Monica, CA, Richard Desautels and his wife Valerie of Uxbridge, Terry Desautels and his wife Stacie of Salisbury, MD; daughter-in-law, Christine Desautels of Worcester; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sons, Gerald and Gary Desautels and his four brothers, Russell, Edward, Kenneth and Lawrence Desautels.

Armand was born in Rochdale, son of the late Edgar and Loretta (Supernault) Desautels. He was a longtime member of Saint Joseph Church and Cedar Cove Resort in Sarasota, Florida. He was an avid golfer. Armand served in the United States Navy during World War II.

The Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00am in Holy Family Parish at Saint Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
