Subscription Update Obituary

Jane A. (LaCava) Tighe, 76, passed away on July 11, 2022 in her home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John and Marion Lacava. Jane was a waitress for many years, working in several local restaurants including the Ground Round and the Beechwood Hotel.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 yeras, John “Jack” Tighe and her sister, Marie (Lacava) Poole.

Jane was a dedicated mother and enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandsons. She loved the beach, and had fond memories of spending weeks in Hampton NH when the boys were growing up and traveling to Cape Coral FL where she and her late husband spent many winters through the years.

Jane is survived by her three sons, John Tighe and his fiancé Beth Dufresne of Worcester, Joey Tighe of Worcester and Jeffrey Tighe and his wife Laura of Charlton; three grandsons, Ryan, Jeffrey and John. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 15th from 9:00-11:00am at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home, with burial at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
