Subscription Update Obituary

      John F. Tighe “Jack”, 77, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family.He was born in Worcester, son of the late John J. and Theresa M. (McGee) Tighe. Jack joined the Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter for 35 years and was a member of Carpenter’s Local 107.

Jack was a family man and loved spending time with his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed his many trips to Cape Coral, FL with Jane, and had many fond memories of summer vacations at Hampton Beach throughout the years.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Jane A. (LaCava) Tighe, three sons, John Tighe and his fiancé Beth Dufresne of Worcester, Joseph Tighe of Worcester and Jeffrey Tighe and his wife Laura of Charlton and three grandsons, Ryan, Jeffrey and John Tighe. He also leaves a brother, Francis J. Tighe and his wife Karen of Worcester, two sisters, June T. Generelli of Worcester and Margaret I. Wheeler and her husband Doug of Cape Cod, and several nephews and nieces.

Jack’s funeral will be held at noon on Monday, May 20th at Callahan Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Visiting hours will also be held on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
