Subscription Update Obituary

Worcester– Howard A. Gouin, 80 of 195 Millbury St. died Sunday at home.

His wife, Helen A. (Volangavitch) Gouin, died in 1992. He leaves two sons, Edward J. and Louis H. Gouin, both of Worcester; two daughters, Carol A. Fryc and Mary Jane Gustafson, both of Worcester; a brother, Edward J. Gouin of Uxbridge; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Born, raised and educated in Uxbridge, son of Albert and Mary (Broullette) Gouin, he moved to Worcester in 1939.

Mr. Gouin was a shipper-receiver 10 years at Feecon Co. in Westboro, retiring in 1983. Previously, he worked at Denholm & McKay Co., Rockwood Sprinkler Co. and Whitin Machine Works. He was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Parish.

The funeral will be held tomorrow from Dirsa-Kazlauskas Funeral Home, 51 Providence St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
