Subscription Update Obituary

     Grace C. (Sandelin) Anderson, 91, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Born in Lyndon, Vermont, Grace was the daughter of Harry F. and Margaret H. (LeMear) Sandelin and lived 74 years in Worcester
Her beloved husband of 63 years, Unto A. Anderson died in 2012. She is lovingly remembered and missed by her five children, Joanne G. Dunlevy of Worcester, Mark A. Anderson and his wife, JoAnne  of Worcester, Therese M. Nyberg and her husband, Joel  of Auburn, Elizabeth A. Comeau and her husband, Ron of Auburn and Laura M. Ladago and her husband, John of Worcester; a sister, Harriett Halgren of Florida; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Besides her husband, Grace is predeceased by her son, Lloyd D. Anderson who died in 1975, and two sisters, Beverly Trimby and Shirley Mallett.
Grace attended Becker Junior College in Worcester and worked over 20 years as a medical secretary for Dr. Leo Buckley.  Her life was faith and family centered. Grace was an active member of Christ the King Church and sang in the choir.  She was a loving and nurturing mother and fondly spoke of time spent as a Den Mother with Cub Scout Pack #37 in the West Tatnuck section of Worcester where she lived. After her retirement, she traveled extensively with her husband and enjoyed vacationing in Florida. She also enjoyed dancing with Unto at the Scandinavian Athletic Club in Shrewsbury and the Finnish Heritage Society, Sovittaja in Rutland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 23, at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Way Ramp Program,  484 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608.
