Subscription Update Obituary

Gladys A. Holmes-Iannotti, 93, formerly of Worcester and Dunnellon, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30th. 

Gladys’ husband, Peter J. Iannotti passed away in 2006.  She leaves three sons, James Layte and his longtime companion, Janeen McLaughlin of Ocala, FL, Thomas Layte and his wife, Peg of Beaumont, CA and Paul Layte and his wife, Jennifer of Charlton; a daughter, Donna Layte of Concord; a son in law, Theodore Mrugala of Auburn; three stepdaughters, Barbara White of Spencer, Dianne Carano of Florida and Jane Belanger of Kentucky; two stepsons, Robert and James Iannotti of Worcester; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by two sons Donald and John Layte; a daughter, Sharon Mrugala; three sisters, Doris Reynolds, Marjorie Ackerman and Kathleen Nelson; three stepsons, Peter, Jr., Richard and Raymond Iannotti, and her parents, Raymond and Gladys (Bielot) Holmes. 

Gladys enjoyed being with family and friends and was active in many clubs in her community and church. She especially loved line dancing with her class friends.  She was a New England sports fan, particularly the Celtics and Red Sox , and was also an avid reader.

Family and friends are invited to remember Gladys’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 12th from 9 to 10 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on the same day at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street in Worcester.  Burial will follow in W.C.M.P in Paxton.
