Subscription Update Obituary

Mrs. Evelyn W. Mancini (Litchfield), 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19th. Evelyn born on October 21, 1932 a loving daughter of Frederic and Grace(Munroe) Litchfield. Loving wife of sixty-two years to the late Robert P. Mancini whom she lost on April 4. 2017.

A lifelong resident of Worcester, Evelyn graduated from Worcester State College in 1954 with a Degree in Elementary Education. Later that year, Evelyn married Robert P (Bob) Mancini and they raised their four children, Robin Mancini, Jeffrey Mancini and his wife Lorraine, Wendy Mancini and husband Paul Annand and Jody Mancini. She has five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a devoted loving sister Linda and husband Jack Williams, a sister-in-law Deborah Litchfield and brother-in-law Albert Van de Mark along with many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn held a teaching position in the Millbury School System and volunteered in the Worcester Public Schools. She later worked for H&R Block and the Fair Department store then became a Centran at Hahnemann Hospital. She retired as a full time employee from UMass Memorial Hospital to enjoy her remaining years with her family.

Evelyn will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, devoted wife and often referred to as a person with the “patience of a saint”. She will always be loved and sorely missed.

Due to (Covid restrictions) a private service was held from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME followed by interment in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center 3 Lyman Street, Westborough, Ma. 01581. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Funeral Director, Louis M. Fazio III.
