Subscription Update Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” (Taylor) Desilets, 77, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2023.

She was born on August 7, 1946, daughter of John and Marguerite (Gannon) Taylor. She graduated from Commerce High School and New England School of Accounting. Betty began her career as an accountant with Barry Jaffe CPA and Associates immediately upon graduation. She remained with firm for over 40 years. Betty married David Desilets, and they became residents of Northborough for 50 plus years.

She leaves her son, Todd J. Desilets; two sisters, Jean and Teresa Taylor and two granddaughters, Naomi and Deirdre Desilets. Betty also leaves her best friend, Ed Hamlin. She was predeceased by her husband David in 1995 and her daughter, Lori in 2017.

Betty’s family extends their sincerest appreciation for the compassionate care given by Sharon and Cece of Notre Dame and Health Aides, Anne and Maria.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, October 6th at St. Anne’s Parish, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Arrangements are in the care of the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers her family asks that memorial donations be considered to UMass Memorial Medical Center, Division of Organ Transplantation, 55 Lake Ave North, Worcester MA 01655
