Subscription Update Obituary

     Edward W. Burtt, Jr., 47, of Cricklewood Dr., passed away on Friday, Nov. 10th, after a brief illness.

He leaves his son, Edward W. Burtt, III of Leicester; his mother, Eileen J. (McGahey) Burtt of Leicester; four brothers, Sean J. Burtt and his wife Dawn of Sturbridge, Craig A. Burtt of Spencer, Marc D. Burtt of Spencer, and James P. Burtt and his wife Deborah of Leicester. Eddie was born in Worcester, the son of the late Edward W. Burtt, Sr..

He was a 1989 graduate of Holy Name High School in Worcester. Eddie attended college at AIC in Springfield. He worked for many years in construction traveling up and down the Eastern Seaboard working on several job sites including the stadium for the Carolina Panthers. Eddie most recently worked as a Superintendent in construction management. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Eddie was a family man and truly loved spending time with his family and friends, especially time with his son.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 12:00noon in St. Joseph’s Church of the St. Joseph-St. Pius X Parish, 759 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be Private. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15th, from 9:00 to 11:00am before the Mass.
