Subscription Update Obituary

     Carol A. “Nana” Moore, 83, of Worcester, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at The Oasis at Dodge Park, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

She is survived by her six children, Susan M. Wilder and her husband Kevin of Worcester; Debra Raymond and her husband Joe of Worcester; Patricia Moore of Worcester; Bill Moore and his wife Donna of Cherry Valley; Thomas Moore of Worcester; Dennis Moore and his fiancée Elena Delivorias of Chicopee; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Ralph F. Moore, Jr.; her parents, William H. Sullivan, Sr. and Helen (Horan) Sullivan; her brother, William H. Sullivan, Jr and her sister, Helen (Sullivan) Smith.

Carol will be remembered for many things, but will especially be remembered for the unconditional love she extended to her family and friends. Her lively spirit and devotion brought so many happy moments to the lives of all those around her. In addition to her infectious smile and personality, Carol will be remembered for her delicious and very sought-after blueberry cake and fudge.

The Moore family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ben Herlinger, Micha Shalev, and all of the staff at The Oasis at Dodge Park in Worcester for the immeasurable care they provided to Carol and her extended family during the last months of her life. The level of care, support, and compassion shown by these individuals was beyond compare.

Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester will be Friday, August 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 5, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
