Subscription Update Obituary

  Ralph F. "Pa" Moore Jr., 76, of Worcester, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Blaire House surrounded by his family.

  He leaves his wife of 54 years, Carol A. (Sullivan) Moore; six children, Susan Wilder and her husband Kevin of Worcester, Debra Raymond and her husband Joseph of Worcester, William Moore and his wife Donna of Cherry Valley, Thomas Moore of Shrewsbury, Dennis Moore and his fiancé Elena Delivorias of Chicopee, and Patricia O'Dwyer of Worcester; sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn O'Connor and her husband James of Auburn; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Sentance.

  Ralph was born in Worcester, son of Ralph F. and Marion (Underwood) Moore and lived in Worcester all his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

  He was a district supervisor for the Massachusetts Electric Co. where he worked for 44 years before retiring. He was a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post.

  Ralph was beloved by his wife Carol, his children and his grandchildren, and was devoted to all of them as they were to him.

  Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Friday, June 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, June 14 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701 or a charity of one's choice.
