Subscription Update Obituary

Bruce H. Dickie, Sr., 85, of Spencer, died Monday, Oct. 24th. in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

He was the husband of Joan T. (O’Connor) Dickie who died in 2017. He leaves his sons; Bruce H. Dickie, Jr. of Holland and John D. Dickie of Southbridge, his daughters; Catherine M. Dumas and her husband Michael of Holland and Mary E. Bodo and her husband Richard of Charlton, a brother; Roger Dickie of Worcester and sisters; Linda Berry of AZ and Marcia Hedge of Worcester, 5 grandchildren; Emily, Christopher and Samantha Bodo, Joshua and Matthew Dumas, nieces and nephews.

Bruce was a longtime truck driver for several area companies, before retiring in 2002.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Franklin and Inez (Romkey) Dickie and later served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Korean War.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7p.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
