Subscription Update Obituary

   Arthur M. Gagnon, 75, of Worcester died Friday, February 20th in the Jewish Health Care Center. He leaves his wife, Jean G. (Connor) Gagnon with whom he would have celebrated their 55th anniversary on Friday; two sons, Jack T. Gagnon and his wife Kathy of Spencer and Philip M. Gagnon and his wife Deborah of Worcester; three daughters, Deborah J. Anderson and her companion Jimmie Bolivar of Worcester, Patti A. Maybay and her husband Arthur of Oxford and Jean M. Julien and her fiancé Richard Cerrone, Jr. of Worcester; a brother, Bruce N. Gagnon of Webster; two sisters, Sharon R. LaPointe and Kathleen M. Strubel both of Leicester; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. His grandson, T.J. Julien predeceased him.

   Mr. Gagnon was born in Worcester the son of Arthur E. and Rita M. (Bliss) Gagnon. He was employed by Toohill’s Service for 23 years as an oil burner technician, then by Marane Oil, and later by CMAA in Oxford until his retirement in December. Mr. Gagnon was a Korean War U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and enjoyed NASCAR Racing and sports. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff on the fourth floor at Jewish Healthcare Center.

   The funeral is Tuesday, February 24th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, February 23rd from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
