She leaves her children, Pamela A. Kelleher and her husband, Francis of Worcester, Paul H Coates and his wife, Jean of Shrewsbury, James A. Coates and his wife, Lisa of Grafton and Cynthia E. Perrulli and her husband, Bruce of Pennsylvania; also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Yvonne was predeceased by her ex-husband and father of her children, Howard L. Coates.
Yvonne was born in Hollywood, California, daughter of the late Ivan and Elizabeth (Cannon) Bankoff. She graduated from Mary Cliff Academy for Girls in Winchester Ma.
She worked for Astra Pharmaceuticals for several years before returning to New England Telephone in 1960. She was employed there for over 32 years and retired from the Vendor services division of Verizon in 1992.
She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Yvonne loved her family and friends and could be the life of the party. She had many lunches with the “gals” on Wednesday afternoons. Many thanks to all the girls who kept her in their hearts with cards and prayers throughout the years.
Her services will be on Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury with a visitation from 10:30 – 11:00 AM followed by a prayer service at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
