Subscription Update Obituary

Wyman J. Darling, Jr., 78, of Leicester, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 29 years, Doris I. (Donnelly) Darling; six children: Judith Markunas and her husband David of Worcester, Dennis Darling and his wife April of Friendswood, TX, Linda Darling of Mashpee, Stephen Darling and his wife Lori of Rumford, RI, Sandra Darling of East Falmouth, Lisa Darling of Worcester; three step-children: Richard Morrill and his wife Lucie of Oakham, Robert Morrill and his wife Gail of North Brookfield and David Morrill and his wife Luz of Alamogordo, NM; three siblings: David Darling of Shrewsbury, Beverly Darling of New Hampshire and Warren Darling and his wife Lisa of Holden; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Three brothers: Robert, Clifford and Donald predeceased him. He was born in Holden, son of Wyman J. Darling, Sr. and Anna (Gulbicki) Darling and graduated from Wachusett High School. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

Wyman worked for over 30 years for Norton Company, before retiring. He was a member of the Main South American Legion Post #341. Wyman loved spending time with his wife. He enjoyed working in his garden and yard, he especially took great pride in his lawn. He loved woodworking and making beautiful bird houses. He also enjoyed his weekly coffee with his old work buddies.

The Funeral will be held Monday, November 28 at 10 AM in FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Sunday, November 27 from 1 to 4 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, St. Vincent Hospital, c/o the Dialysis Unit, Attn: Elizabeth Norman, 123 Summer St., Worcester, 01608.
