Subscription Update Obituary

     William “Bill” Thibeault, Jr., 82, of Old Meadow Road died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014 in Overlook Masonic Home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 64 years, E. Frances (Green) Thibeault; two sons, Robert C. Thibeault of Fitchburg and Larry P. Thibeault and his wife Pamela of Shrewsbury; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two daughters, Diane L. Fafard and Debra A Sundquist; three brothers, Leo, Chris & Martin Thibeault and two sisters, Marie Carr and Marjorie Coates.

Bill was born in Spencer, son of William and Christie (Carpenter) Thibeault. He worked in the maintenance dept. at Gavitt Wire & Cable Co. in Brookfield for many years before retiring in 1997. After retiring he worked part time at Gregson Insurance Co. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and later in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion post 138. He was a longtime volunteer at the Spencer Rescue Squad. He enjoyed camping, yard work and woodworking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Funeral services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton are private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Overlook Masonic Home, Residents Activities Fund, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507 or to the Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Spencer, MA 01562. J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements.
