William “Will” Carl Carig, 76, of Sandwich, MA went home to be with his lord and savior on July 25, 2021. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Linda (Lee) Carig of Millbury, MA; his daughter Amber (Carig) Coonan, and his two granddaughters Mackenzie Coonan and Christina Coonan all of Woodstock, CT; his sister Susan (Biello) Carig of Grafton, MA; his first cousins Joey B. Carig, and his wife Suzanne of Osterville, MA, and Karen (Carig) O’Neill and her husband Hugh of North Carolina; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his son Keith W Carig in 2002; His mother Florence (Mandella) Carig was born in Worcester, MA, and father William J Carig was born in Kansas.

Bill graduated from Millbury High School in 1962. He received an Associates’s degree from Wentworth and a Bachelors’s degree from Northeastern College in electrical engineering. He worked with Nager Elec Co of Brooklyn, NY, and Norfolk Elec of Boston, MA as an electrical engineer, and production manager. His work included the Postal Annex in Boston, MA; the Central Post Office in Des Moines, Iowa; and UMass Medical School in Worcester, MA.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He taught turkey hunting seminars and fishing classes for kids. He enjoyed many years of fishing with family, and friends at the Cape where he lived. He spent many hours in his workshop making fishing poles, lures, and tying flies. His fishing buddies all knew there wasn’t a lure he couldn’t make, or a pole Will couldn’t fix.

Bill was an active member of The New Testament Baptist Church of West Yarmouth, MA.

There will be no funeral service. He preferred to donate his body to Tufts Medical School.
