Subscription Update Obituary

Wanda J. (Bogdewicz) Novak, 99, passed away peacefully at Saint Vincent Hospital on April 4, 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene M. Novak in 2013. She is survived by two sons, Atty. Paul M. Novak of Worcester and his significant other Anna Szczepanski of Boston and Eugene M. Novak Jr. and his wife Carol Sanchez Novak of Framingham; one daughter, Christine M. Florio and her significant other Peter Zanni of Newbury, and grandchildren, Liam Novak and wife Denise, Kailee Novak, Nikolai Novak, Nicole Magana and her husband Dany, Melissa Florio and Emily Florio. She leaves one nephew, Bruce Johnson and his wife Linda Johnson, of Millbury and many other nieces and nephews by marriage.

She was predeceased by all her siblings, three sisters and two brothers: Katherine Stukowski, Amelia Bogdewicz, Mary Johnson, Joseph and Walter Bogdewicz. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Katherine (Huk) Bogdewicz.
Wanda graduated High School in Worcester and started working at United Steel Works Co. She was one of the founders of Gold Star Development, Inc. She enjoyed spending time with her family at her home on Plum Island, Newbury and traveling with her Husband. She was a life-long member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. The family would like to extend thanks to all the staff at the Notre Dame Health Care Center for the recent care they provided to Wanda.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 9-11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be either made to Our Lady of the Rosary Church 25 Fales Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
