Virginia “Ginny” D. Brennan, 74, of Brookfield and formerly of Holden, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 after a short stay at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Ginny was born in Worcester, a daughter of George E. and Elinore E. (Streeter) Brennan.  She was a graduate of Wachusett High School, class of 1960, and attended the University of Maine.  She was a proud patriot and U.S. Army veteran.  Ginny worked as a waitress and a bartender for several years and then moved onto the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk in Shrewsbury.  She was fun loving, quick witted and loved a good joke.  She loved nature, feeding the birds with cats being her soft spot.  She was also an avid sports fan, “GO PATRIOTS”. HOORAH !!!!!!!!

Ginny leaves behind her partner, Daisy Wheeler; sister, Robbin Clark, brother-in-law, Stephen Clark of Lowell, VT, brother, Michael Brennan of Spencer; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, in the funeral home followed by burial with military honors at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, please donate in Ginny’s memory to the Treasure Hunt Foundation, P.O. Box 696, Rutland, MA 01543; or the Friends of Feline Foundation, P.O. Box 1360, Newport VT 05855.
