Subscription Update Obituary

   Vincent P. Hackett, 53, of Worcester, was reunited with his parents on March 22nd. He is survived by three brothers, William H. Hackett, III, Paul J., and Robert E. Hackett all of Worcester; and his sister Susan M. Charest of Auburn and several nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester the son of William H. Hackett, Jr. and Anne E. (Crowley) Hackett. Vincent was a charter member of the Our Lady of Mercy School; and worked for 37 years with the Occupational Training Center now known as Seven Hill, Inc., and later with its Adult Day Health Program. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, a long time participant in the Massachusetts Special Olympics, an avid bowler, a member of the 39’ers Club, and loved to dance.

The funeral is Tuesday, March 25th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Monday, March 24th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mercy Centre, 25 West Chester Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
