Subscription Update Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet girl Tina. She has always had many Angels around and with her, and she has joined them for her eternal journey and has been granted her very own wings.

Tina was born on February 22, 1964 in Worcester MA, earlier than expected but ready to begin her life.

Tina attended The Comprehensive Care Center at age 3, enjoyed all her classes, and learned important life skills. She then attended Mercy Centre for Developmental Disabilities at age 7. There she learned to read and write, and socialize. She competed in the Special Olympics Track And Field in 1972, Winning many medals and ribbons, and making many friends.

She received the Certificate of Achievement Award from Mercy Centre in 2003, while participating in the Seven Hills Aquatics swim team that she joined in 1980. Tina received The Val Kazprazak Award for her accomplishments in swimming in 1992. Tina made many special friends among her teammates; Susie, Susan, Marilyn, Joan and Jennifer.

Tina worked for many years at The Mercy Centre workshop, then went out to work at The Guild of St. Agnes Daycare. She retired in 2013,  after 22 years of service, to move to Cape Cod. She made lasting friendships, especially with her loving boss, Deb Brown, Erin, Margaret, and Ed Madeus. We will always be thankful for their love and guidance as Tina grew In her work place. She received The Shining Star Award for her outstanding service from The Guild In 2014.

Tina leaves to miss her daily, her mother and stepfather, Susan and Steven  Golebiowski; her loving and watchful sister, Lisa Longvall. She also leaves family members and her many lifelong friends, Sharon, Marie, Joyce, Melissa, Barbara and Lew, and their families. Tina was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Elizabeth Dumas and her cousin Eric Dumas.

We also wish to thank her special caregivers from Beacon Hospice; Nora, Debbie, Gretchen and all the caring and dedicated workers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Tina’s memory, to Beacon Hospice Care, 1060 Falmouth Road Ste. A Hyannis, MA 02601.

Visitation, from 12pm to 1pm, with a Service to follow, will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth. Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 12pm, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.
