Subscription Update Obituary

Thomas F. Clifford, Jr., 66, of 7 Beechwood Drive, died peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2007 in his home. He leaves his wife of 40 years, Kathleen E. (Creeron) Clifford; two daughters, Lynn A. Clifford-Ryan of Paxton and Maureen P. Clifford of Rutland; five grandchildren, Liam and Shane Ryan, Seth T. Clifford, Richard J. and Kyle E. Kalldian. A brother, J. Richard Letourneau predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Thomas F. and Frances Mae (Mahan) Clifford and lived in Rutland for 29 years.

Tommy graduated from South High School where he received the Worcester Telegram and Gazette’s “All Star” award in basketball. He also graduated Leicester Junior College and worked up and down the east coast for various financial service companies. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, where he coached CYC basketball, and the American Legion Post in Paxton. His quick humor and gift of gab made him many friends throughout his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. The funeral for Tommy will be held on Wednesday, January 31 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street, Rutland. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., Fifth Floor, Norwalk, Ct 06851.
