Subscription Update Obituary

   Theresa L. (Stebbins) Royal, 79, of Beaconfield Rd., died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, in Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester after an illness.

   She leaves her husband of 57 years, William J. Royal, Sr.; 5 sons, Patrick A. Royal, William J. Royal, Jr. and his wife Judith, Shawn D. Royal and his wife Tiffany all of Worcester, Steven T. Royal and his wife Donna of Virginia Beach, VA, and Matthew T. Royal of Marina Del Ray, CA; 2 daughters, Margaret D. Richard and her husband Francis of Littleton, and Lynn S. Royal of Reston, VA; 2 brothers, Vernon Stebbins of Boscawen, NH, and Neil “Chubby” Stebbins of Jaffrey, NH; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Plass of Maine, Gloria Archambault of Jaffrey, NH, and Kathleen Stratton; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Bernadette Stebbins predeceased her. She was born in Jaffrey, the daughter of Frederick and Leona (Ouelette) Stebbins and lived in Worcester for over 50 years.

   Theresa worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Holden Nursing Home and the Lutheran Home in Worcester before retiring in 1994. She was a member of Christ The King Church. She loved scrapbooking and vacationing at the beach.

   Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 on Friday, February 6th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral service for Theresa will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th in the funeral home, followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sherry’s House, Why Me? Inc., 1152 Pleasant St., Worcester, MA 01602.
