Subscription Update Obituary

Tanya, M. (Kwiatkowski) Vasalofsky, 79, of Sutton passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 in UMASS – Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.

Tanya leaves her husband of 59 years, Robert P. Vasalofsky, her children, Diane M. Beals and her husband, Lee of Douglas and Robert P. Vasalofsky and his partner, Kelley Chesna of Sutton; five grandchildren who lovingly knew her as Babci, Maddison, Tori-Lee, Justin, Kali and Holly, three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Jaxson and Libby, a sister, Lorraine H. Dupre and her husband Robert of Webster and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers, Jane Strothers, Diane Blair, and Nicholas, Peter and James Kwiatkowski. Tanya was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Jane (Pilski) Kwiatkowski and has lived in Sutton since 1978.

Mrs. Vasalofsky loved being with her family and was an amazing homemaker. She loved to entertain at her home and pool and was a “Mom” to many who along with her family were always welcome and loved. Mrs. Vasalofsky worked several years for the United Parcel Service and was a member of St. Mark’s Church, Sutton. Babci’s love and strength will live on forever.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mark’s Church, 355 Boston Road, Sutton, Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A Mercy Meal for close friends and family will be held afterwards. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.
