Upon discharge from the service, Susan completed cosmetology courses with Brom’s academy and founded Susan’s Beauty Villa on Grafton Street and one on Shrewsbury Street. In 1968, as the University of Massachusetts Medical Center opened, Susan accepted a position in the Telecommunications Department where she worked for the next 25 years before retiring.
