Stephen C.”Skip” Lavallee, 56, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife, children and loyal dog Odessa.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Tina Lavallee; parents, Leo & Maureen Lavallee of Millbury; his children, Jillian Pelchat & husband Kristofer of Brookline, NH; Kailee Bowers & her husband Joseph of Milford, NH ; his stepchildren James Vasalofsky of South Barre; Vanessa Vasalofsky of Portland ME and Tara Berry of Webster. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren. Stephen took great joy in being “Pepere” as well as stepping into the roll of Santa on Christmas to Juliana, Aiden, and Noa Pelchat, Bentley, Hadley, Chase and Blake Bowers; he also leaves his nieces, Rylee, Lexi, Amanda, Tayla and Emily. H was predeceased by a sister Wendy (Lavallee) Morello.

Stephen was born on August 16, 1961 and graduated from St. John High School in 1979. He worked for many years as a mechanic at P&F Services and later working as a carpenter which he truly enjoyed.

Stephen was an avid hunter and gardener. He enjoyed lobster diving, fishing, skydiving, skiing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling. One of his many joys in life was having an activity for every season. He found pleasure in vacationing with his wife Tina and sister in-law, Sarah Ares & her husband Chad. In addition to his love for the outdoors, Stephen had a deep love for music and played the guitar for many years. A true “rocker” at heart.

Philanthropy came easy to Stephen as he always tried to help the homeless, providing food, shelter, and money. His family and friends will always remember him for his kind gentle heart and great sense of humor.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 4-7 PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Rd. Barre. The funeral will be held on Saturday with a Mass at 10:00AM in St. Thomas A Becket Church Vernon Ave S.Barre. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
