Subscription Update Obituary

     Shirley P. (Dickinson) Walker, 89, of Worcester passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital.

She leaves her husband of 69 years, Richard E. Walker; two sons, Richard J. Walker and his companion, Derry Winch of Auburn and Steven F. Walker and his companion, Dorothy Swenson of Salisbury, NH; four grandchildren, Robert Fuller, Michael Walker, Lynne Morin and Kerry Walker; six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A daughter, Cindy A. Corrente and four siblings predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank E. and Adelaine (Porter) Dickinson and graduated from Commerce High School.

Shirley and her husband loved RVing and traveled all across the country camping and meeting new friends. They founded the Happy Sam’s Camping Chapter. Shirley enjoyed most of all visits from her great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Summit Elder Care for all their compassion and care throughout Shirley’s illness.

Visiting Hours are Tuesday, March 29 from 5 to 7PM at CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Family and Friends will gather Wednesday, March 30 at 10AM at the funeral home for a Graveside Service at 11AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association , 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, 02472.
