Shirley M. (Anderson) Gaboury, 90, of Pleasant Street died Saturday, Dec. 2 in Notre Dame Long Term Care after an illness.
Her husband Victor E. Gaboury died in 1994. She leaves two sisters; Audrey Stolarek of Charlton and Barbara Baldyga of Cary, North Carolina, a Goddaughter Paula Bigwood and her husband David of Shrewsbury, several nieces and nephews and the extended Bigwood family. She was predeceased by two brother-in- laws; John Stolarek and Al Baldyga.
Mrs. Gaboury was born in Worcester, daughter of Frederick and Florence (Freeman) Anderson. She worked at Hebert Candies for several years. The family would like to thank the Staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care and the hospice team for the care, comfort and compassion they gave to Shirley and for always making her feel like she was at home. The price of chicken parmigiana and hamburgers will be going up today, because they were her favorite meals.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 8 at 11:00 AM in MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Notre Dame Long Term Care Residents Fund, 559 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
