Subscription Update Obituary
     Shirley E. (Carlson) Pelletier, 89, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. Her husband Paul “Tony” Pelletier passed away in 1996. She leaves her sister, Arlene Anderson of Worcester, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and two goddaughters, Paula Desplaines and Patricia Mangan. Shirley was predeceased by her sister Ruth M. Adrian and two brothers, Harold E. and Roy L. Carlson.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of E. Levi Carlson and Ellen S. (Mallquist) Carlson. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1948. Shirley worked at Worcester Juvenile Court as a Procedures Clerk and also at Worcester Academy as an alumni secretary.

Shirley was a devout Catholic and embraced the Catholic religion at age 25. She was a former member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church and was a choir member for several years. Shirley was currently a member of North American Martyrs Church in Auburn. She sang with the Goldenaires of Millbury and the Auburn Swingers. She enjoyed playing the piano, line dancing, bingo and she played golf with her husband for many years. She also was a volunteer tutor for Basic Reading and English as a second language.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at 11:00am at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of LINDQUIST-LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester.
