Subscription Update Obituary

Sheila A. (Grant) Stukowski, 75, of Worcester and formerly of Auburn, died Saturday, July 9, 2022 at UMass-Memorial Medical Center.

Her husband of 29 years, Ralph J. Stukowski, died in 2011.

She leaves a son Patrick Stukowski and his wife Lindsey Openshaw of Oxford; two granddaughters, Arianna and Brooklyn Stukowski; two sisters, Debra Paul of Worcester, and Paula Hartzell and her husband Christopher of Oxford; two brothers, Charles Grant Jr. of Worcester, and Kevin Grant and his wife Nancy of Spencer; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Mason Stukowski and brothers, William and Rev. James Grant.

Sheila was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles and Alice (Carberry) Grant. She attended St. Peter’s High School.

Sheila worked many years ago at American Optical Co. in Southbridge and later as a teller for Worcester banks. She was a longtime friend of Bill W.

Calling hours are Friday, July 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 16, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
