Subscription Update Obituary

   Shaun Patrick LaHair, 50, of Holden, passed away peacefully with his family present, December 29th after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

   He leaves his beloved wife of 28 years, Sugae (Yasuzawa) LaHair; his daughters: Kerry Anne Dahm and her husband Alex of Richmond, VA and Kathleen Gilmartin and her husband Brian of Naples, FL; his mother, Kathleen LaHair of Worcester; two brothers: Brian LaHair of Worcester and Kevin LaHair and his wife Patrice of Holden; three sisters: Collette Johnson and her husband William of Oakham, Denise Blanchard and her husband Bruce of Holden and Noreen Davreau and her husband Ray of Worcester; several nephews and nieces.

   He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Henry E. LaHair, Jr. Shaun grew up in Worcester and attended St. John's High School in Shrewsbury. He joined the Air Force in 1976 and retired in 1994, having served in Japan, Hawaii, Germany and South Korea. Until his illness, Shaun was employed by Siac Corporation as a computer specialist. He loved hockey, was an avid cook and enjoyed sharing his talent with family and friends. Shaun had a great sense of humor, which he never lost.

   The funeral is Saturday, January 3rd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, January 2nd from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
