Sharon Denise Richardson, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, dedicated registered nurse, and cherished member of the community, passed away at the age of 64.  She was born May 22, 1959, in Worcester to Chester and Ruby ‘Jewel’ (Jamerson) Hawkins. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the Ghanaian heritage.

Sharon’s most significant accomplishment was raising her family with unwavering devotion and affection. As a mother, she provided endless support and guidance, instilling values of kindness, respect, and perseverance in her children. Her nurturing nature and selflessness will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

One of the highlights of Sharon’s life was her deep connection to Ghanaian culture. She embraced her husband’s heritage in countless ways, immersing herself in the traditions and customs of Ghana. Sharon embarked on multiple journeys to Ghana, where she was adored and loved by many. Her presence was felt not only in her homeland but also across three continents and the Caribbean.

Our Mother had a passion for the beauty of nature, particularly the vibrant colors and fragrant scents of flowers. Each spring, she adorned her deck and patio with an array of flowering plants, diligently caring for them throughout the summer. Her dedication to creating a picturesque environment for her loved ones to enjoy was a testament to her love for beauty and her desire to bring joy into the lives of those around her.

In addition to her love for gardening, Sharon had a zest for life and a spirit of adventure. She enjoyed exploring different corners of the world, immersing herself in new cultures and experiences. Whether it was wandering through bustling markets or savoring local delicacies, Sharon embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.

Above all, Sharon cherished her role as a grandmother. Her dedication to her grandchildren was unparalleled, and she went above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being. Her love and support will forever be etched in their hearts, and they will carry her memory with them as they navigate through life.
