Ruth M. LaPierre, 79, of Millbury, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother (meme) and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at Umass Memorial – University Campus, after an unexpected illness.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert LaPierre. She leaves behind her three sisters, her two sons, David LaPierre and wife Patricia of Sutton; Dennis LaPierre and fiance Karen Froment of Millbury. Meme adored her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and her lifelong friend Elinor Stoddard.

Ruth was from Worcester then became a longtime resident in Millbury. She was a homemaker who took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Her greatest moments were those spent with and around them. Ruth put others before herself; she was dedicated to her family and church, with a kind soul, bright smile, and great personality, always willing to help anyone and everyone when the need arose. Ruth looked forward to family dinners, special occasions, enjoyed doing puzzles and getting together with her friends and family. She loved taking trips to her favorite places at the Cape with her best friend and traveling together to see her favorite musician Englebert Humperdinck in concert. Ruth also had a special place in her heart for her fur babies.

Ruth was an active and supporting Deacon of First Presbyterian Church in Worcester and will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a faithful dear friend who was always willing to serve where she could.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
