Rose Mary (Breau) Anderson, 68, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

Rose was born in Worcester on June 21, 1952, a daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Bondanza) Brea. She was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School. She married Clarence “Bud” Anderson when she was 20 years old. Her mother passed away shortly after, leaving Rose and Bud to help care for her six sisters and one brother. She loved them fiercely and took pride in raising them. Her faith was unbreakable, her heart was pure, and her love was unconditional.

Rose greatly enjoyed spending her summers in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, with her husband, at their camper in Hid’N Pines campground. They would spend their days walking down to the beach for some fresh air and salt water. Rose always loved to stop for an ice cream at Dairy Queen or freshly made french fries at the pier. She also loved getting her yearly lobster.
Rose loved animals, which was a trait she passed down to every single one of her family members. Her favorite was a giraffe, with multiple pictures, statues and stuffed animals scattered around the house. There was never a time an animal was not in the Anderson household. Numerous cats, fish, an occasional bunny (sorry Papa) and the infamous Pomeranian, Buddy. Rose loved Buddy so much, she is taking his ashes to heaven with her.

As much as she loved animals, there is nothing she valued more than family. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She would especially enjoy Christmas time and giving them gifts. Although, she was notorious for buying them throughout the year and forgetting where she hid them. I am sure we will all be finding presents for years to come.

Rose will be greatly missed by her beloved husband and soulmate, Bud, whom she adored with her whole heart. Her two children, Brian and Heidi and her grandchildren, Lexi, Matthew, and Amber, and Amber’s husband, Chris. Rose also leaves behind her six sisters, Kathy, Tammy, Sue, Mary, Jean and Lee, and her one brother, Ray.

Rose will be remembered for her infectious sense of humor, unrelenting strength, continual independence, unmatched compassion for others, and, of course, for being one heck of a seamstress.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Chiampa Funeral Home ~ 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center on Thursday, February 4, 2021, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
