Subscription Update Obituary

Rose M. (Barna) Carr, 71, passed away on September 29, 2023, after fighting a long battle with cancer.

Rose was born in Worcester, MA, Daughter of the late Michael P. Barna and Kathleen J. (Murphy) Barna. She leaves her loving husband of 48 years, William C. Carr, her 3 children, Kathleen M. (Carr) Daly and her husband David of Millbury, MA., her sons, William P. Carr and his wife Laurie of Sturbridge, MA., and Michael J. Carr and his wife, Melissa of Maricopa, AZ., 5 grandchildren, Hannah Bartkus and Candice Daly, of Millbury, MA., Matthew, Mason, and Owen Carr of Maricopa, AZ. Her sister Mary I. Brosnahan of Worcester, MA. and her brother Joseph P. Barna and his wife, Vicky of Oxford, MA., many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially her childhood friends, Patty Depatie and Kathy Remillard. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael P., John E., and Daniel D. Barna.

Rose worked at Worcester City Hospital as well as nursing homes in Millbury, MA., retiring from Care One in Millbury, MA. She enjoyed watching the Boston sports, and family days on Saturdays. 

Family and friends are invited to remember Rose’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, Oct. 4th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 5th at 11:30 am in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury.  Burial will follow in W.C.M.P, Paxton.
