Subscription Update Obituary

Roosevelt Adams, 76, of Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Hosie R. Adams, Sr. and Addie L. (McKinney) Adams, who predeceased him, was born on November 23, 1946, in Holly Ridge, Mississippi.  He graduated from Gentry High School.  He moved to Worcester, Massachusetts in 1964.

Roosevelt worked as a Butcher for Western Pork, then worked for Norton Company, followed by Madison Cable.  He retired from Aubuchon Hardware Company in 2008.

He departed this life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Gloria M. (Maddox) Adams, his three children, Tina Adams, Tiffany Adams-Nortey, and Michael Adams.  He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Justin Nortey, Jaree Adams, William Nortey, and Michael Adams, Jr.

He is also survived by his beloved siblings Eula Mae Adams-Carter, Ola Mae Adams-Evans, Hosie Adams, Jr, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by siblings Felix Adams, Sr., James Adams, Woodrow Adams, Ora Adams-Stevenson, and Mary Adams-Burrell.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Roosevelt’s life with a viewing Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 from 9:30AM until 11AM at the New Praise Cathedral Worship Center, 6 Clover Street, Worcester.  A funeral service will begin at 11AM with burial following in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
