Roger Leroux, 80, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He was born on October 15, 1945, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and resided in Shrewsbury for most of his life. He was the son of the late Eva (Roy) and Adrian Leroux.

Roger leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Carol (DeJoinville) Leroux; two sons, Christopher Leroux and his partner Omayra, and Kevin Leroux and his partner Keri, a daughter, Kathy Patenaude; his cherished grandchildren and extended family, Matthew, Nathan, Zachary, Makaila, Ariana, and Acacia. He is also survived by his sister, Rita and her husband Ray Thibeault; his brother, Charles Leroux and his wife Chongdee; sisters-in-law Janet Leroux and Betty Leroux; brother-in-law Joseph DeJoinville; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers George, Raymond, Paul, and Norman, and his sister, Pauline Genereux.

Roger was a graduate of Holy Name High School, Ward Business School, and Worcester Junior College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed with the 6th Artillery Unit in Pleiku, Vietnam.

He was employed at Norton/Saint-Gobain in the Information Technology Department for 35 years, retiring in 2004. Roger was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and dedication throughout his long career.

In his leisure time, Roger enjoyed working in his yard, walking his dog Cody, watching New England sports, bowling, and playing softball. He found great joy in simple pleasures and in spending time with his family.

Roger will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his quiet strength, and his enduring kindness. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Central Care Hospice, Laura’s Guardian Angels, and Always Best Care for the compassionate care and support they provided.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Roger’s family on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury.
