Subscription Update Obituary

Robert P. Mitchell, of Worcester passed away Thursday, October 7th, 2021, from complications of Covid-19 and his chronic ongoing heart problems.

Robert was born in Worcester, the son of Gabriel “Gabe” and Lucy (Capurso) Mitchell. Raised and educated in Worcester,  he has lived in the home he grew up in all his life. Robert worked in customer service all his life, as a Professional Photographer and as a customer service rep for the Hertz Rental Company before retiring.

Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan Mitchell; his four children, Amy Mitchell of Marlborough, Justin Mitchell and his wife Amanda of Auburn, Shannon Camacho and her husband Frankie, Gabrielle “Gabby” Campos and her husband Brandon all of Worcester; a sister, Diane Hedstrom of Barre;  six grandchildren, Xavier, Jeremiah, Marlee, Antonio, Aria, Harmony and Ava; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Robert was a member and volunteer of the Tri Life Church. Bob made an enormous impact on many people’s lives and gave love to anyone who would accept it. He loved jazz music, the Beatles, and Hampton beach. Robert was a big family head who most enjoyed being with his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.

Graveside services for Robert will be held Monday, November 15th at 1 pm in Worcester County Memorial Park, section Heritage II in Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations are being  accepted to help the family. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to assist the family in arrangements.
