Subscription Update Obituary

     Robert P Carelli, 57, a life-long resident of Worcester, passed away Friday, December 13th, 2019 after being stricken ill at home.

Robert was born, raised and educated in Worcester.   He was one of four children of the late Arthur and Madeline (Tiscione) Carelli.   Robert graduated from Burncoat High School and then received further education in Welding from Boys Trade.   Robert then began his career with Morgan Construction company, the next 14 years before becoming a welder for the St Gobain Company where is presently has worked for the last 5 years.

Robert is survived by the “Love of his Life” Lisa M. (Hosegood) Carelli; his two sons, Anthony R. Carelli and Benjamin T Carelli both of Worcester;  two brothers,  Arthur F. Carelli and his wife Kathy of Worcester, Richard J. Carelli and his wife Diana of Hubbardston;  five nephews, Kyle, Christopher, Andrew, Adam, Tyler,  and Alexander; a great niece Olivia and great nephew Matteo;  Extended family members and many friends.   Besides his parents, a sister, Deanna Carelli predeceased him.

Robert was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.  He was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast.  He loved working in his yard, camping with family and especially the New York Yankee’s.    Robert also exercised religiously walking daily around the neighborhood.   He was a generous, kind, fun loving man who could hold a conversation and make friends with ease.  He lit up any room he entered and enjoyed countless good times with family during the holidays and special occasion when family was around him.    Robert was loved by his family and friends and was known by his family as “Too Much”.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, December 18th from 9:15 am to 11:15 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  before proceeding in procession to Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St where his celebration of Christian Burial Mass will be held at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton
