Subscription Update Obituary

Robert F. Trueman, Sr., 74, of Sturbridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 25th. at Mass. General Hospital in Boston.

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Janice M. (Rondeau) Trueman, his sons; Robert F. Trueman, Jr. and his wife Lauren and Dr. Steven F. Trueman and his wife Dr. Renee Trueman all of Sturbridge, his grandsons; Sean and Owen Trueman and Jacob Baxter, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers; William and Carl Trueman and sisters; Anne Warner and Arlene Cameron.

He was born in Boston, the son of Carleton and Doris (Lang) Trueman. He was a member of St. Ann’s Parish in Sturbridge, and the IBEW, Local 2325 in Worcester.

Bob was a lineman for Verizon for 32 years before retiring in 2002.

The family would like to thank the Sturbridge Mass Police and Fire Departments for their on-call assistance, Mass. General Hospital, the doctors, staff, nurses, past & present, especially; Dr. Joshua Baker, Dr. Stephanie Moore, Dr. Jahan Mohebali, Dr. Camille Kotton, Dr. Gregory Lewis, the transplant team and the LVAD Dept. Special thanks to Dr. Richard Wholey and St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester and Dr. Denis Dimitri and Dr. John Mordes.

Bob’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 5 to 7p.m. in the funeral home.
