Robert Francis Hiser, 88, of Worcester, died January 13, 2015 in the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
His wife, Josephine M. (Goddard) Hiser died in 1998.
He leaves his three children, Mary Harvey and her husband Richard of Norfolk, Va., Robert F. Hiser and his significant other Mary Krumsiek of Millbury, and Andrew A. Hiser and his wife Cindy of Worcester; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Robert was born in West Boylston to Ralph and Ruth (Clapp) Hiser, and lived in Worcester most of his life.
He worked at Vellumoid in Greendale for many years. His various jobs there included press operator, gasket cutter and shipper.
Robert enjoyed playing in his company softball league, was an avid bowler, and loved to go camping at Winding Brook in Douglas.
He was a member of Greendale People’s Church.
Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester are Friday, January 16 from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a service in the funeral home.
